Dark Clouds and its sequel, Whirlwind, are narratives drawn from the tapestry of my own life experiences. After their release, a common question I receive is about my mother's reaction. While she rarely verbalized her emotions to me, she frequently lauded my accomplishments to others. Despite the candid revelations within my books, she seemed to grasp that my writing was a journey of self-discovery and healing. Through writing, I found the strength to forgive and move forward. My mother, with quiet pride, attended several of my book signings, actively promoting the books to her friends and colleagues. Though she was not one to express affection with words, her actions spoke volumes about her feelings. I am profoundly grateful to have penned these stories when I did, during a time when my mother was well and free from the grip of dementia. Much of my past had been hidden away, but now, I feel an unparalleled sense of liberation.
